We’re so glad you’ve joined us today for a short study in God’s Word. Let’s talk about “No Fear In Love.”This subject comes from 1 John 4:18, which reads, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The man who fears is not made perfect in love.”
We need to get the picture in our mind of what the word ‘fear’ means. Fear comes from the Greek word ‘phobos’ which carries the picture of dread or terror.

An interview with Bethany Kimbell about her testimony of how the Lord reached her as a child growing up in a Christian home. In 8th grade she came to understand that nothing she could do on her own was good enough for God.The Lord moved in her life and moved from fear of what awaited her in the afterlife into a confidence in Jesus and a thirst to read scripture and follow the Lord. In college she got involved with Campus Crusade for Christ and found a mentor and a strong body of friends.
The Lord has been preparing Bethany for a trip to Athens, Greece to discuss the gospel with Greek students on college campuses. She will be engaging with a group of people who may identify themselves as Christian, but do not have an actual relationship with God.
