Let’s review the gospel message together.

Point one: God desires for you to have a personal, trusting relationship with Him.

We find in Acts (17:26-27), “From one man [God] made every nation of men...that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.”

His desire is for you to have a fulfilling, abundant life, a personal relationship with Him.

Point two: gives the reason why many people in the world are missing this great relationship.

In his self will, he has chosen to reject God and go his own independent way, just as Adam did in the Garden. This is sin. The consequences is spiritual death.

But men through the ages have devised many schemes by which he has hoped to earn God’s favor and amend for his sin. These efforts are called religions. Every one of them fail to please God.

But there’s good news! God has shared with us the one plan, which He does accept.

Point three: Jesus, God’s divine Son, came to earth in the form of man. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, thus providing the only sufficient sacrifice for the sins of mankind. You see, Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin on that cross on Calvary. Thus He bore the penalty for my sins, just as he did for yours. He is the only solution to man’s dilemma. He alone bridges the chasm of separation between sinful man and holy God.

The penalty is now paid, but man must respond to God’s initiative. That brings us to ...

Point four: Man must again exercise his will and accept the rescue from sin. This comes as he trusts Jesus Christ by faith. He must agree with God that he is a sinner, turn from that sin (now that’s called repentance); and accept the truth that Jesus was his substitute for sin when he died on the cross; that Jesus rose from the grave and lives today, and that He’ll enter your life, giving power over sin.

Friend, have you ever taken this step? If there is any doubt then utter this prayer with your heart and with your mouth:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins, so I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my life. I trust you and accept you as savior, and will follow you as my Lord. Thank you for entering my life right now.

Friend, if you prayed that prayer, please, let us know. We want to help you to grow in your new faith.

If you are already a believer then you have the joy of being able to share the good news with people with whom you rub shoulders.
